How is RealTIME different from other software solutions?
RealTime was built from the ground up specifically for creative teams tasked with producing visual content. We recognized that there are great standalone tools for specific creative tasks (such as Adobe Photoshop for image editing), but there were no integrated collaborative solutions for tying all the key creative functions together to accelerate the entire creative production process from start to finish. RealTime currently encompasses integrated project management, sample inventory tracking, asset approval and asset sharing. However its modular architecture enables our clients to integrate a subset of these functions which we can connect to their current processes to create a seamless blend of existing tools with new RealTime tools. We also built RealTime to work with standard browsers to enable creative teams to collaborate seamlessly from anywhere in the world. Finally, we made sure the user interface is simple, elegant and appealing to the creative people who will use it every day.

Does my organization need to buy all the RealTime modules in order to benefit?
No. Although the full RealTime Suite provides unique benefits as a tightly integrated workflow solution, our clients sometimes have existing tools in place to address one or more of the capabilities offered by RealTime and so choose to only implement a subset of modules, or even a single module. RealTime is built to be completely flexible, with the capability to add other modules later if desired.

Why choose a cloud-based service instead of a traditional software license deployed on our corporate systems?
There are two significant benefits to cloud deployment:
1) The world of creative work is becoming a more ‘virtual’ place. Creative teams are scattered across the country and around the globe, enabling the most efficient and cost effective use of resources. Some team members may be contracted and working from home while others are in the field at client sites or at a contracted ad agency or design firm. These scattered team members not only need to collaborate, they often need to collaborate in “real time” when deadlines are involved. So the key to maximizing their effectiveness is constant access to both their deliverables and the tools needed to complete them.
2) The nature of the creative process at our clients is predicated on one thing: change. The perfect software solution today is the clunky, outdated “abandonware” of tomorrow. By utilizing the cloud and agile development methodologies, Kreate Technolgoy can continue to evolve RealTime to meet your unique needs as your business changes. A site deployed solution simply cannot adapt as quickly to the pace of creative change.

For these reasons, the cloud is the right environment to deploy a next- generation creative tool such as RealTime.

How secure is the RealTime system and my company’s data when using RealTime?
RealTime utilizes secure private clouds with government-grade security protocols. We follow the strictest of coding standards to ensure the security of customer data. All input is validated twice, on the front end, and once on the backend so that no data can enter the system without first ensuring it is the correct data type. All file uploads are checked for security vulnerabilities. All data is redundant on multiple servers with on-going incremental back-ups. We also offer our clients the option to snapshot their data from our system on whatever schedule is desired for an additional layer of redundancy.”

Kreate Technology isn’t an approved vendor for my company and hasn’t been around a long time. Why should my organization choose Kreate Technology to provide such a critical toolset?
Kreate Technology is a new subsidiary but we have deep roots in both the creative and technology worlds. Kreate Technology is part of the OneKreate family of companies, one of the fastest growing creative services firms in the US, serving some of the largest retailers and manufacturers in the world. The RealTime Suite was first developed as an in-house toolset when OneKreate could not find the capabilities they were looking for in existing software tools. Now RealTime is being configured to solve big problems at some of the world’s best known brands. Click here to find out more about our history

How is RealTime Manage different from a general project management tool such as Microsoft Project?
RealTime Manage RealTime Manage is unique in three key ways: Integration with other RealTime modules, Ease of use, and Built on the latest web technologies.

INTEGRATION WITH OTHER REALTIME MODULES: Because Manage seamlessly integrates with the other RealTime modules, each action required to complete a task is linked to the elements and tools necessary to complete it. For example, Mark, an Art Director, is assigned to a Q4 catalog project and needs to approve 10 photography assets in order to complete his stage of the project. Mark has his web browser open to his personalized Dashboard in Manage and can not only see this assigned Request, when he clicks on ‘Approve’ he is presented with the assets in the RealTime Approve module, where he can complete his review, mark-ups (if any) and issue conditional approval. When Mark completes his Task, Manage will initiate the next step of the project. Mark can do all of this without ever leaving the RealTime Suite. He doesn’t need to jump to his email application and wade through dozens of unrelated emails to check on his tasks, return to another tool to complete the tasks, then jump back to his email client to compose and send another email confirming he has completed them, then switch to Microsoft Excel (or any other ‘standalone’ application) to update a spreadsheet or edit a static task list. Of course, Mark’s completion of his deliverable immediately impacts other members of the team assigned to his Project and RealTime reflects all of that activity automatically, giving the whole team visibility to the project status. No more emailing around static lists that become almost instantly out of date or trying to share and update a single document among the team.

EASE OF USE: RealTime was ‘purpose-built’ for the creative production workflow, eliminating unnecessary features and complexity. The user interface is simple, elegant and appealing to the creative people who will use it every day. The goal is to speed up and simplify process, not weigh your creative team down with a steep learning curve or archaic user interface that gets in the way of their productivity.

How is RealTime Track different from other inventory management software products?
RealTime Track is unique in three key ways: Integration with other RealTime modules, Ease of use, and Built on the latest web technologies.

INTEGRATION WITH OTHER REALTIME MODULES: Track integrates the inventory tracking function with other RealTime modules to create a seamless workflow connecting physical inventory with projects that need that inventory and with the digital assets generated from that inventory. So each action requiring handling of physical inventory is linked to the project driving that need and the necessary steps to deliver digital assets as a final product. Other inventory management systems are a “one trick pony” that function as a ‘silo’ of information about inventory, but do not link to the overall workflow that initiates and encompasses the inventory tracking requirement. For example, Tracy, a Merchandise Coordinator, is assigned to a Q4 catalog project and needs to ensure 10 sample products are ready for shooting in Studio A in order to complete the next step of the project. Tracy has her web browser open to her personalized Dashboard in Manage and can not only see this Task, she can then check- in the samples in the RealTime Track module, which integrates to her barcode reader. When Tracy completes her Task, Manage will initiate the next step of the project. Tracy can do all of this without ever leaving the RealTime Suite. She doesn’t need to jump to her email application and wade through dozens of unrelated emails to check on her tasks, return to another tool to complete the tasks, then switch back to her email client to compose and send another email confirming she has completed them, then switch to Microsoft Excel (or any other ‘standalone’ application) to update a spreadsheet or edit a static task list. Of course, Tracy’s completion of her deliverable immediately impacts other members of the team assigned to her Project and RealTime reflects all of that activity automatically, giving the whole team visibility to the project status. No more emailing around static lists that become almost instantly out of date or trying to share and update a single document among the team.

EASE OF USE: RealTime was ‘purpose-built’ for the visual content production workflow, eliminating unnecessary features and complexity. The user interface is simple, elegant and appealing to the creative people who will use it every day. The goal is to speed up and simplify process, not weigh your creative team down with a steep learning curve or archaic user interface that gets in the way of their productivity.

BUILT ON THE LATEST WEB TECHNOLOGIES: RealTime is easy to use from anywhere, requiring no client installation, proprietary browser plug-ins or complex configuration. Just launch your web browser, log in and go!

How is Approve different from other creative approval tools?

RealTime Approve is unique in three key ways: Integration with other RealTime modules, Ease of use, and Built on the latest web technologies.

INTEGRATION WITH OTHER REALTIME MODULES: Because Manage seamlessly integrates with the other RealTime modules to link all the components of the creative workflow back to the central ‘project’ metaphor, each action required to complete a project is linked to the elements and tools necessary to complete it. For example, April, an Art Director, is assigned to a Q4 catalog project and needs to approve 10 photography assets in order to complete her stage of the project. April has her web browser open to her personalized Dashboard in Manage and can not only see this Request, she can then complete her approvals in the RealTime Approve module, which presents the specific photography assets awaiting approval. When April completes her Task, Manage will initiate the next step of the project. April can do all of this without ever leaving the RealTime Suite. She doesn’t need to jump to her email application and wade through dozens of unrelated emails to check on her tasks, return to another tool to complete the tasks, then jump back to her email client to compose and send another email confirming she has completed them, jump to Excel to update a spreadsheet or launch any other ‘standalone’ application. Of course, April’s completion of her deliverable immediately impacts other members of the team assigned to her Project and RealTime reflects all of that activity automatically, giving the whole team visibility to the project status. No more emailing around static lists that become almost instantly out of date or scheduling review meeting no one has time to attend.

EASE OF USE: RealTime was ‘purpose-built’ for the creative production workflow, eliminating unnecessary features and complexity. How is Share different from other digital asset management (DAM) products?

RealTime Share is unique in three key ways: Integration with other RealTime modules, Ease of use, and Built on the latest web technologies.

INTEGRATION WITH OTHER REALTIME MODULES: Because Share seamlessly integrates with the other RealTime modules to link all relevant assets housed in Share to the central ‘project’ metaphor, each action required to complete a project is directly linked to the assets necessary to complete it. A typical DAM is built as a ‘silo’ that requires users to log-in through the DAM client interface and search for relevant assets, select the applicable assets, then extract those assets from the DAM in order to utilize them in a project. With RealTime Share, the necessary assets to complete each project are linked to the rest of the RealTime workflow with no need to switch to another tool or execute a search function in order to use them. The assets are right there where you need them, no matter which RealTime module you are working in. For example, Shane, a Design Director, is assigned to a Q4 catalog project and needs to locate potential photography assets that could be used in the new catalog. Shane has his web browser open to his personalized Dashboard in Manage and can not only see this open Request, he can perform an asset search right from his Dashboard screen, which presents the relevant photography assets through seamless integration to the RealTime Share module. When Shane finds the assets he wants, he can link them to the catalog project with a single click. Shane can do all of this without ever leaving the RealTime Suite. He doesn’t need to jump to his email application and wade through dozens of unrelated emails to check on his tasks, return to another tool to complete the tasks, then jump back to his email client to compose and send another email confirming
he has completed them, then switch to Microsoft Excel (or any other ‘standalone’ application) to update a spreadsheet or edit a static task list. Of course, Shane’s completion of his deliverable immediately impacts other members of the team assigned to his Project and RealTime reflects all of that activity automatically, giving the whole team visibility to the project status. No more emailing around static lists that become almost instantly out of date or trying to share and update a single document among the team.

Does Share have all the features of an Enterprise DAM?
Share incorporates the vast majority of capabilities most valued by creatives, and integrates them into the creative production workflow in a way other DAM tools don’t. Although there are certainly features in other DAM systems on the market that Share does not support, we have found our clients simply do not utilize many of the more esoteric DAM functions and prefer a simple, fast and fully integrated asset sharing workflow for their in-process assets.

If my organization already has an Enterprise DAM, why would we want Share?
Many of our clients have an enterprise DAM system already in place, and some of them choose not to utilize the Share module, but the majority of them DO use Share as their ‘in process’ DAM because of its tight integration into the RealTime creative production workflow. Once content has been captured, approved, built and housed in Share, final assets can be “pushed” to the Enterprise DAM for access by the rest of the organization. Several of our clients that initially started using Share for in- process DAM have now found they don’t utilize their Enterprise DAM anymore and are switching to Share as their single asset repository, since their creative teams found Share so much easier to use.
